극동대학교, 몽골 유학생 체육대회 성료
전국 10여 개 대학 200명 참가… 스포츠로 친목 다져
극동대학교(총장 류기일)는 국내 몽골 유학생들을 위한 체육대회를 성황리에 개최했다고 14일 밝혔다.
이번 ‘안녕하세요 몽골 유학생 체육대회’는 극동대학교 체육관에서 진행됐으며, 가천대학교, 숭실대학교 등 전국 10여 개 대학에서 온 200여 명의 몽골 유학생들이 참가했다.
참가자들은 이틀간 배구와 농구 경기 등에 출전해 선의의 경쟁을 펼치며 친목을 다지는 시간을 가졌다.
대회를 주관한 극동대 대외협력처장 권보헌 교수는 “이번 체육대회가 유학생들에게 교류의 장이 되었을 뿐만 아니라 극동대를 알리는 의미 있는 기회였다”며, “폭설과 추운 날씨에도 열정적으로 경기에 임한 학생들에게 박수를 보낸다”고 말했다.
또한, 극동대학교 호텔경영학과 1학년에 재학 중인 나랑게렐 학생은 “다양한 친구들과 어울릴 수 있어 한국 유학 생활에서 잊지 못할 추억이 될 것 같다”고 소감을 전했다.

Far East University Successfully Hosts Sports Event for Mongolian International Students
Over 200 Students from 10 Universities Nationwide Participate, Strengthening Bonds Through Sports
Far East University (President Lyu Kee-il) announced on the 14th that it had successfully hosted a sports competition for Mongolian international students in South Korea.
The event, titled "Hello, Mongolian International Student Sports Festival," was held at the university’s gymnasium and welcomed over 200 students from more than 10 universities across the country, including Gachon University and Soongsil University.
During the two-day event, participants competed in volleyball and basketball, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship.
Professor Kwon Bo-heon, Director of External Cooperation at Far East University, who oversaw the event, stated, “This sports festival provided a great opportunity for international students to interact while also promoting Far East University. Despite the heavy snowfall and cold weather, the students’ enthusiasm and dedication to the games were truly commendable.”
Narangarel, a first-year student in the Hotel Management Department at Far East University, shared her thoughts, saying, “I had a wonderful time bonding with friends, and this event will be an unforgettable part of my study abroad experience in Korea.”
