Announcement: Participation of International Students in the 26th Eumseong Pumba Festival Parade
충북 음성군을 대표하는 문화축제인 제26회 음성 품바축제가 아래와 같이 개최됩니다.
The 26th Eumseong Pumba Festival, one of the representative festivals of Eumseong-gun, will be held as follows:
○ 행사명: 제26회 음성 품바축제
○ 기간: 2025년 6월 11일(수) ~ 6월 15일(일)
○ 장소: 충북 음성 설성공원 및 시가지 일원
○ 주최: 음성군 축제추진위원회
○ 주관: 음성품바축제기획실무위원
○ 후원: 문화체육관광부, 충청북도, 음성군, 음성꽃동네
○ Event: The 26th Eumseong Pumba Festival
○ Dates: Wednesday, June 11 – Sunday, June 15, 2025
○ Venue: 설성공원(Seolseong Park) and downtown 음성(Eumseong), 충북(Chungbuk)

품바축제는 전국 3대 난장 문화축제 중 하나로, 우리 민속 문화의 해학과 풍자를 현대적으로 계승한 대표적인 지역축제입니다.
거리 마당극, 난장 퍼포먼스, 전통문화 체험 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 지역민과 관람객이 함께 어우러지는 축제입니다.
The Pumba Festival is one of Korea’s top three traditional street performance festivals,
celebrating the humor, satire, and lively spirit of Korean folk culture.
It features street performances, traditional games, cultural exhibitions,
and hands-on activities that bring the community and visitors together.
이번 축제의 핵심 프로그램인 '전국 품바 길놀이 퍼레이드'(6월 14일 토요일 18:30)에는 선정과정을 거쳐 15개 팀이 참가하며,
극동대학교 외국인 유학생 팀이 학교를 대표해 퍼레이드에 참여합니다.
43명의 유학생이 전통 의상을 착용하고 음성 시가지를 행진할 예정입니다.
이번 길놀이 퍼레이드 참여는 극동대학교 외국인 유학생들과 지역사회의 소통과 화합을 이끄는 자리가 될 것입니다.
Among the festival's main events is the Pumba Street Parade(14th June 18:30), which will feature 15 participating teams.
We are proud to announce that Far East University’s international student team will represent the university in the parade.
A total of 43 international students will participate in traditional costumes,
showcasing cultural diversity and delivering a message of harmony and global friendship to the local community.
