Thank you for visiting the website of the Flight Training Institute at Far East University. I’m Professor Ahn Young-tae, the Director of the Institute.
The aviation industry is a field built on challenge, resilience, and continuous growth. With a relatively short history compared with many other industries, aviation has nevertheless overcome countless difficulties and continued to advance through innovation and adaptation. Even after the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the aviation industry is once again moving forward on a path of recovery and development. Despite fluctuating oil prices, an uncertain global environment, and any future challenges that may arise, I firmly believe that aviation will continue to grow by adapting to constant changes.
At the heart of the aviation industry are pilots, who play an essential role in passenger and cargo transportation. For this reason, the responsibility of universities and affiliated training institutions is not limited to education alone. It is also a meaningful challenge and responsibility to prepare the next generation of aviation professionals for the future.
The Flight Training Center at FEU is committed to the following goals:
First, to cultivate pilots with strong character, integrity and safety concious;
Second, to cultivate pilots with professional aviation knowledge;
Third, to cultivate pilots with excellent flight skills;
And fourth, to cultivate pilots with a global mindset and a commitment to continuous self-development.
The Flight Training Center at FEU offers a wide range of training programs, including Private Pilot License courses for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, Flight Instructor Certificate courses, and License Conversion courses. Our faculty and staff work closely with our trainees every day to support their growth and help them prepare for careers in the military, low-cost carriers, major airlines, government agencies, and other aviation-related fields.
